CNS Communication is a company specialized in communication and IT security services. As part of a project for one of our largest international customers we are seeking a Firewall Flow Qualification Specialist to join our team at our Kuala Lumpur agency.
Job Description:
As a Firewall Flow Qualification Specialist, you will be responsible for qualifying data flows through firewalls, as well as creating and monitoring implementation requests for these flows.
You will work closely with various technical teams and managed service providers to ensure efficient data flow management and optimum security levels for our client.
As your main teammates will be in France, you will have the opportunity to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Technical scope is extremely diverse (on-premises, DataCenter and Cloud environments, as well as a multi-vendor context).
Responsibilities :
- Qualify data flows through firewalls by analyzing filtering rules and ensuring compliance with company security policies.
- Create and monitor implementation requests for data flows, collaborating with internal and external technical teams.
- Coordinate with managed service providers to ensure effective qualification of firewall flows and provide ongoing support.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external teams regarding firewall flow qualification.
- Follow-up with validation tests to ensure proper configuration of data flows.
- Insure internal best practices for requesting flows are applied and report to the management in case of any deviance.
Required Skills :
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networks, communication protocols, and network architecture.
- Practical experience in qualifying firewall flows and managing network security (ideally 2 years + on a similar role).
- Ideally you already have a similar role in your company.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with international teams.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to react quickly to critical situations.
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills to facilitate smooth collaboration between managed service providers and technical teams.
- Customer service-oriented mindset and ability to deliver high-quality technical support to our clients.
Non mandatory but good to have :
- Knowledge in scripting for automation purposes (Python, Ansible…)
- CCNA
- Vendor technical certification (for instance, NSE4)
- Exposure to ServiceNow ITSM environment.
